Embrace have announced their first new album in eight years. After five top ten albums and six top ten singles, the quintet will unveil a self-titled LP on 28 April. Refugees, the album's lead single, is released ahead of a four-track preview EP on 17 February. NOEL GALLAGHER PHONE HACKING !!!

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he is "absolutely crestfallen" that his name has not been mentioned in relation to the News Of The World phone hacking scandal.

The guitarist, who is currently promoting his debut solo album 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' across North America, told Details Magazine that he couldn't believe he hadn't been mentioned as a possible victim of hacking by the tabloid.

The News Of The World closed in the summer over allegations that staff and private investigators regularly hacked the phones of celebrities, public figures and members of the public.

Speaking about the scandal, Gallagher said: "I was absolutely crestfallen when the phone-hacking scandal broke here in England and my name wasn’t mentioned once. I’m not even worthy to have my fucking phone hacked. And Steve Coogan is. It is fucking over."

He continued: "Even in the '90s, when it was mad and there were photographers all around the house, it never occurred to me to send someone else out to get cigarettes. It took me five minutes, went for a walk, gave a wave, went back inside."

Gallagher joins Oasis' former label boss Alan McGee in expressing this opinion. McGee has recently said that he plans to sue the News International title if it turns out he has been hacked, but also admitted that he will be "gutted" if it turns out that he hasn't been hacked.
