The Penelopes there are really only two bands that influenced them along the Synth-based path they chose. Both exotically British. Both with dark origins. Both emerged in the 80s with their own particular sound. The first is
New Order, the spirit of which can be felt in
The Penelopes own tracks and mixes, but in-keeping with Axel & Vincent’s mantra of prevailing triumph over adversity comes their latest remix, channeling the spirit of Robert Smith and The Cure.
With a promo video (featuring actress/artist Soko) currently being shot for their next single called Time To Shine, and remixes contributed by old friends on Kitsune (as well as some pretty special new ones too). AND tracks featuring in two movies appearing at Cannes later this year The Penelopes are brandishing their influences for all to see.
