BLOC PARTY return and HEAR NEW TRACK HERE...

Bloc Party frontman Kele Okereke has confirmed that his band are working on a new album. The group released their most recent record 'Four' in 2012, before embarking on a hiatus the following year.

Now, it appears they're set to return. Speaking to Australian radio station Triple J, Okereke claimed that the band have "started recorded" their fifth LP. "I guess it's the first time that I have talked about it but we are making a record at the moment," Okereke is quoted as saying. "It's sounding like nothing that we've done before but that's what everyone always says." Okereke continued: "We're at the writing/recording phase. We've started recording - I think we have about 18 [song] ideas and we're going to lay them down properly in the next few months." The singer also performed a new track called 'Exes' on acoustic guitar.

Meanwhile guitarist Russell Lissack is launching his own club event this Saturday (21st) at the VICE owned new venue The Stillery in Camden, with live shows from Beasts, Faux aswell as dj sets from Russell himself and Does It Offend You Yeah!

Alt-J have released a new track from their upcoming album, This Is All Yours.Discussing the unconventional track named "Left Hand Free", the band called it 'the least Alt-J song ever', adding that it started around 'a joke riff', talking to The Gaurdian Drummer Thom Green said: "I tried to make the drums as cliched as possible, there's none of my personality in it" - before singer Newman added: "And I say, 'Gee whizz', which I'm not sure is a phrase I've ever uttered before. I can imagine it appealing to American truckers with Good Riddance To Bin Laden stickers!" scroll down and have a listen.

Released July 28th is the long awaited return from quirky pop duo The Ting Tings and its a pretty decent return too ! long gone are the stabbing chanting choruses with them being replaced with slick Nile Rodgers sounding disco melodies, if this is an intro into what The Ting Tings are going to be be doing in 2014 then i'll by a ticket for the rest of the ride. RINSE Release Debut Track from States Of Emotion

RINSE has consistently been at the forefront of fwd thinking electronic/dance music which makes this release all the more interesting. A new side of the label seems to be emerging with the release of this monster indie guitar debut from the much talked about Essex band States Of Emotion. The track is a refreshing straight to the point indie banger and from the off frontman Olly Hookings vocals scream a sense of conviction that seems rare in the current crop of breaking bands, as the song starts to develop and the layers are applied it becomes very clear why RINSE see something in this band.
